2 Months Already

I haven't blogged for 2 months. It really doesn't seem like it has been that long but I guess it has. I have been reminded a time or two that it had been a while but I never seemed to find the time to sit down and blog. I do still however keep up with all the blogs I read daily. Everyone else seems to find the time I guess I should try the same.
Today is mine & W's 5 year anniversary. There was a couple little breaks in the midst of those 5 years, but today marks the day that 5 years ago she changed my life. I guess actually we changed each others. But I told her this morning that she was the best thing that ever happened to me and I truly mean that with all my heart. I can not imagine my life without her in it like she is now. She completes me in many ways and I love waking up next to her everyday. We have already done a couple things this week, went to see Kathy Griffin and also had dinner at the Melting Pot. So the celebrating has already began. Tonight we may take a stroll through Gaybor, Ybor City in Tampa's newest gay district and see what all is there, or we may just relax at home and spend the night cuddled up watching a movie and possibly a little hot tub time. Whatever we do I will enjoy it, I will enjoy her and I will look forward to the next 5 years with her. I love you baby....with all my heart!

Well I'm Hooked...

I didn't play much poker until I moved to FL over 1 1/2 ago. I played online for fun, and the little hand held games, but not live poker with others. My friends enjoyed playing and got me into playing. When W moved down she learned the game, rather well I might add, and kicks my ass beats me on a regular basis. Last night we went to play poker at a local venue, no money involved mostly just for fun. They are a part of Final Table Poker http://www.finaltabletour.com We had a blast, let me rephrase that, I had a blast. W enjoyed herself....but knows how much fun I had and we can't wait to go back, well I can't wait...she isn't near as excited as I am. We played poker from 7-1 last night. I think we played in 5 tourney's I won the last one. I was so excited. W came in 2nd or 3rd once and I came in 3rd in another one. They have poker there on Tuesday & Saturday nights. I do not know if it is a good thing or a bad thing that the place is less than 5 minutes from our home. If we were not going to the USF -vs- UL game on Saturday then I think we would be going back to play poker. So now here I sit at work trying to at least get something accomplished and my eyes are working on about 4 hrs of rest. Time to get back to work....:)

Seasons Change

Well it is now around 55 degrees in the morning when I head to work here in FL. That is COLD. Yes I know it isn't 30 degrees I know I am not wearing a big winter coat, but damn it 55 degrees is COLD to me. W was sick last week she thought maybe it was her allergies well if it was she gave her allergies to me. Now I feel like shit. Maybe it is just because the season is changing and it is getting cold outside. Whatever the reason is, I don't feel good. UGH
Tonight is date night....last Friday was W's turn to plan it, she wasn't feeling well so we just went to dinner, this Friday it is my turn. I have arranged a couples massage tonight for the both of us :) I know after working all day I will not feel like going out and doing anything but once I get there and have an hour long massage it will be worth it. The last time I got a massage we were on a cruise, I was rather intoxicated and passed out during the massage, which wasn't a big deal at the time but the next day I was sore as hell, I guess the massage chick did a number on me and I was passed out and not alert to tell her OUCH. I plan to stay awake this time....
Jimmy Buffett was last weekend we went with another couple and had a GREAT time. W's Gaydar is getting better all the time, she spotted the couple in front of us, and I really did not think they were a couple but she thought they were. After about 15 min of trying to figure it out they started feeding each other and just smiling at each other. OK so I was wrong...I admit it. Hardly ever happens but it does from time to time. We mingled with them a bit and had some nice conversation.
It is Friday and I Soooo do not want to work. I just want to lay my head down on my desk and SLEEP. Enjoy the weekend I plan to :)

Halloween - The Day After

Halloween is one if my most favorite Holidays. This year we had made other plans a while back not realizing that we were not going to be free on Halloween. So I told W we'll just set out a bowl of candy on our porch and put a nice note on it. Also put a nice note on the door bell asking them not to ring it (since the dogs would go ape shit) I think she thought my idea was crazy...she even told me there is no way we would have any candy in there when we got home. She said the first 2 kids would take it all....I told her to have a little faith. So we get home last night and there is just enough candy in that bowl to fill up a small sandwich bag....She was impressed....I think she realized not all kids are going to be greedy :) Now, Nov 1st I am in the pre-planning stages of our Halloween Party 08'. We were not in town this past weekend so we could not have a party. Next year I am blocking the date out and we are going to have a kick ass party. :) No one comes unless they dress up....:) I may even see if she'll run out with me tonight and get some decorations while they are 1/2 price! :)

Time Flies....

Yes I know I have been very bad....It has been almost 20 days since I last blogged. A lot has been going on and I haven't had the free time at work, that I used to have. By the time I check every one else blogs I have no time to blog myself. On the weekends it seems my girl and I always have something going on. A few weekends ago a friend was down...then we went to the beach....this weekend we are going to Ft Lauderdale to watch my niece who is flying down from KY play in a softball tourney ....then the next weekend we are going to see Jimmy Buffet. We just seem to always have something planned. I am looking forward to the one weekend when we have absolutely nothing to do :) I am really looking forward to this weekend. Spending time with my girl, my family and watching softball. It really doesn't get much better. I wish I had more time, sorry to be so boring but gotta go....

Flirt - Miss Happy Girl

Miss Flirt is doing really good. She was used to being crated the majority of the time, so she is loving her new life of freedom :) She is learning to potty on a potty pad and she is doing pretty well at it. She is such a little lover girl and is just very sweet. This is still our "trial" period, but I think W has made up her mind she isn't going anywhere. She gets along with all the rest of the babes and they seem to accept her like she has been here all along. So far so good :) My mom called last night inviting us to go to dinnner with them and some of their friends. Since they haven't been here too long, I feel as tho I need to go. Also my mom got a new car and I am sure she wants to show it off. Mom is coming over tomorrow to take us to Sam's Club to stock up. I HEART Sam's. :) Sunday will be a R & R day. Footballl and relaxing :) Gotta love it. My Cats fell last night....Bummer...But they are still doing better this year then they have in a long time. Enjoy the weekend :)

Good News...Sad News...

Lets start with the sad shall we....Get that over with. A week ago today we had to put Bailey to sleep. It was a very hard decision and a very hard thing to do, but it was for the best. We both miss him DEARLY....
Good news....W is staying at her job. After she gave her 2 week notice they came back to her asking her to stay. She accepted but is still looking...They managed to help alleviate her problems that were driving her to resign :) That was good news for sure!
More good news....We have a new addition to our family. We had planned to not add any more dogs as we have plenty as it is, but one was very generously offered to us after Bailey passing. Her name if Flirt and she joined us last night. So far she is working out GREAT!
My parents (the snowbirds) came to FL this past weekend. They will be here until April. W & I have managed to get 2 free dinners out of them already! :) Not that we are counting or nothing :)
I don't really have much else to report. We did go to the beach this past weekend. Ahhhhh...the beach. It was awesome. We got a little sun and drank a little went to a bar/grill nearby and watched football...had ice cream...it was just...A Perfect Day with my girl :) And Last but Certainly NOT least....GO CATS!!! Gotta love KY moving up in the rankings...Also gotta say Go Bulls..USF is really coming on too :)
